Privacy policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
This policy explains what Serpint (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website (serpint.com) and our app, why, and what you can do about it. Serpint is run by Shehriar Ahmad Awan, a sole proprietor in Pakistan, who is responsible for your data. Questions go to [email protected].
This website
Our marketing website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from our own site, so a visit sends nothing to a third party.
What we collect in the app
- Your account: your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), and your name if you add one.
- Optional questions: if you answer our short sign-up questionnaire, your role, business, industry, goals, current tools and how you found us.
- What you put in: your projects, domains, keywords and competitors, and the content you give us to work on, such as drafts, notes, brand and author profiles, and interview answers.
- Google data, if you connect it: see “Google Search Console and Analytics” below.
- How the app is used: which features each person used on each day, and when a plan limit was reached. We don’t record the content of what you looked up for this.
We don’t store your IP address in our records, and we don’t sell your data.
Cookies in the app
The app uses only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you logged in and one that protects forms against forgery. It remembers the last project you opened in your browser’s storage. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
How we use your data
- to run the service: tracking your rankings, running lookups and audits, and producing briefs, grades and articles
- to send you emails about your account and the service: verifying your address, invitations, password resets, trial reminders, answers to an interview you sent, and Google update summaries for your sites
- to improve Serpint: we look at which features are used, and we may use combined, anonymized grade results to make grading more accurate
- to keep the service secure and prevent abuse
Google Search Console and Analytics
If you connect a Google account, we ask for read-only access to Search Console and Google Analytics, plus your email address to show which account is connected. We store the access needed to keep importing, encrypted, and use the data only to show you your own sites’ performance in Serpint. We keep:
- daily totals for each site, for as long as its project exists
- daily figures for your top pages, for 16 months
- search queries by page, for the last 56 days
Disconnecting stops access and deletes our access to your Google account; the data already imported stays with its projects until you delete them or ask us to delete it. Deleting a project deletes its Google data.
Serpint’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who else processes data
We use a small number of service providers, each only for what it does for us:
- A search data provider receives the keywords, domains and pages you look up or track, and fetches public search results and pages for us. It receives no personal details about you.
- AI model providers receive the text a step needs, such as a draft, your notes, interview answers, and your brand and author profiles, to produce briefs, grades and articles. We send only what that step needs.
- Hosting and email providers run our servers and deliver our emails.
- A payment provider handles payments; we don’t see or store your card details.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, other countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live.
Public search results (the pages Google shows for a keyword) aren’t private, so we reuse them across customers to make the service faster. Your own content is never shared with other customers.
Interview links
When you send an expert an interview link, anyone with the link can see the questions and answer them, without an account. Links expire after 30 days unless you choose up to 90, and you can delete or replace a link at any time. The expert’s name and answers are saved to your project.
Our crawler
When you audit a site or refresh one of its pages, our crawler visits that site’s public pages. It identifies itself as SerpintBot, with a link to this website.
How long we keep data
- Account and project data: while your account exists.
- A free trial that ends without a plan: the workspace and its data are deleted 30 days after the trial ends. We email you before that happens. Your login stays, so you can come back.
- Deleting a project or workspace deletes its data. Deleting your account deletes your login and the workspaces you own.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We send exports in a standard format (JSON). Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including complaining to your data protection authority.
Security
Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, the access keys for Google connections are stored encrypted, and the app is served over HTTPS. Each workspace sees only its own data.
Children
Serpint is a business tool and isn’t meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
