MCP and API, on every plan
Use Serpint from Claude and ChatGPT
Connect Serpint to the assistant you already use and ask about your site in plain words. It answers from your own Search Console and GA4 data, your opportunities, rankings and audits, and it can brief and grade articles and research any site or keyword, within your plan.
Server address
https://app.serpint.com/mcpAsk the way you’d ask a colleague
The assistant picks the tool, reads the numbers and answers. Some questions you can ask once it’s connected, with the tool that answers each:
Your site
“How did our Google clicks this month compare with last month?”
get_performance“What are the five things most worth doing on our site right now?”
get_opportunities“Which pages are losing clicks, and on which searches?”
get_pages_losing_clicks“Did the articles we published last month gain clicks?”
get_content_results“Is anything technical broken on the site?”
get_site_audit
Your content
“Brief me on an article for “invoice software for freelancers” in the UK.”
create_brief“Grade this draft against the brief and give me the three fixes that matter most.”
grade_draft“It’s live at this URL: mark it published.”
mark_published
Research
“Which keywords bring a competitor the most traffic?”
organic_keywords“What do my three competitors rank for that we don’t?”
keyword_gap“Find keyword ideas around “meal prep” with low difficulty.”
keyword_ideas“Who links to this site, and which links are new?”
backlinks_overview
The research questions need a plan with research: keyword research from Starter, Site explorer and backlinks from Pro. Search Console and GA4 questions need them connected to the project.
Connect it in a minute
Add the server address, sign in to Serpint, and pick the workspace. There’s no key to copy for Claude or ChatGPT.
Claude
claude.ai and the desktop app
- Open Customize → Connectors, press + Add and pick Add custom connector.
- Name it Serpint, paste the server address and press Continue, then Add.
- Sign in to Serpint, pick the workspace, and choose read only or read and write.
- In a chat, press +, open Connectors and turn Serpint on.
Claude’s free plan allows one custom connector; paid plans more. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it for everyone.
ChatGPT
chatgpt.com
- In Settings → Apps, open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Create an app, paste the server address and choose OAuth as the sign-in.
- Sign in to Serpint when asked, pick the workspace, and choose read only or read and write.
Developer mode is on some ChatGPT plans only, and on Business and Enterprise an admin may need to allow it.
Claude Code
the terminal
claude mcp add --transport http serpint https://app.serpint.com/mcp
- Run the command above.
- Type
/mcpin Claude Code, pick Serpint and sign in.
Other tools
Cursor, VS Code and others
- Tools that sign in with OAuth only need the server address.
- For one that takes a key instead, such as Cursor, make an API key in Serpint under Settings → API & MCP and add it as a header:
{
"mcpServers": {
"serpint": {
"url": "https://app.serpint.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
}
}
}
}Steps checked against Claude’s and ChatGPT’s help pages on November 4, 2026. Their menus change; if one has moved, look for connectors or apps in the assistant’s settings. Claude and ChatGPT are trademarks of their owners, and Serpint isn’t affiliated with them.
It uses your plan, like the app
No separate API units or credits to buy. What an assistant does counts exactly as if you’d done it in the app.
Free to read
Your projects, Search Console and GA4 numbers, opportunities, rankings, site audits, and the briefs and grades you already have.
An article
A brief or a grade uses one of the month’s articles per keyword. The same keyword is then free for 30 days, up to 6 AI runs, and grading the same text again is free.
A lookup
Research on a new domain uses a domain lookup (then free for 30 days, or 7 for backlinks); a new keyword search uses a keyword lookup per seed, kind of search and country (30 days).
Your plan’s limits
Tracking keywords counts toward your tracked keywords, and an audit toward your audited pages. Each tool tells the assistant what it uses, so it can check with you first.
Safe to connect
An assistant can’t do more than you allow
- You choose read only or read and write when you connect. Read only can’t change anything.
- Nothing can be deleted from an AI tool or with an API key: deleting stays in the app.
- A connection works in one workspace, as you, with your role. Someone removed from the workspace can’t use theirs.
- Every connection and key is listed under Settings → API & MCP with what it used in the last 30 days, and you can revoke any of them there.
- Billing, your team, Google connections and keys themselves can only be changed in the app.
The API
Or call it from your own code
The same tools as a REST API, for reports, dashboards and scripts. The assistants’ tools call this API too, so both follow the same rules.
Read the API docs →curl https://app.serpint.com/api/v1/seo/projects/ \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
- Keys made under Settings → API & MCP, read only or read and write, shown once and stored only as a fingerprint
- Your projects, Search Console and GA4 data, opportunities, rankings, audits, briefs, grades and research
- 120 requests a minute per key, on top of your plan’s allowances
Questions
Which plans include it?
Every plan, and the 7-day free trial. Everything an assistant does counts toward the same allowances as the app, so there are no API units to buy. Research needs a plan that has it, as in the app: keyword research from Starter, Site explorer and backlinks from Pro, and not on the trial.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants use other apps’ tools. Claude, ChatGPT and many coding tools support it. You add a server’s address once, sign in, and the assistant can call its tools when your question needs them.
Does the assistant see all my data?
Only what a tool returns when it answers your question, through your own connection. What it receives is handled under that assistant’s own terms, like anything else you share in a chat.
Can it write my articles?
It can brief a keyword and grade a draft against the brief, and mark an article published so its clicks are followed. Writing an article from the interview happens in Serpint’s Write tool in the app.
How do I use the API from my own code?
Make a key under Settings → API & MCP, read only or read and write, and send it as Authorization: Bearer with each request. Each key allows 120 requests a minute. The API docs list every endpoint a key can reach.
